HCUBE - HTees Project: Sports Wearables

Mobile app for vital parameter monitoring via innovative patches applied to sportswear

BLE communication and real-time visualization of biomedical data for sports applications.

HCube is a startup incubated by Politecnico di Torino specializing in sports and medical research. HTee is a patch that can be applied directly to sportswear to monitor athletes' vital and performance parameters.

We developed the cross-platform mobile application that communicates via Bluetooth Low Energy with HTee patches, displays real-time ECG graphs, and maintains a complete history for advanced performance analysis.

The app allows athletes to monitor their performance during training, track progress over time, and identify improvement patterns based on precise and reliable biometric data.

The main challenge was managing continuous data streams from biomedical sensors while maintaining high performance and precision for applications requiring medical-grade reliability.

The solution combines invisible wearable technology with performance analytics that transform biomedical data into insights for sports performance optimization.

Developed with Flutter 3.0 for native iOS and Android compatibility. Optimized Bluetooth Low Energy implementation for continuous high-frequency streams without significant battery drain.

Real-time ECG graph rendering with 60fps performance, circular buffer management for streaming biomedical data, smoothing algorithms for noise reduction, and intelligent compression for efficient storage.

Reactive architecture with advanced state management for interface synchronization with continuous data flows, automatic cloud backup, and pattern analysis algorithms for generating performance insights.
