WEP: Custom Global e-commerce

WEP wasn't selling off-the-shelf products, they were selling dreams and personal growth. But their old portal treated a gap year like a t-shirt on Amazon. Spoiler: it didn't work.

Together with our partner Fightbean, we rethought what it means to discover and choose an international educational experience in the digital era. Not just "developing a website," but building a machine to transform curiosity into conscious decisions.

We designed a platform that guides users to discover educational experiences in a personalized way, going beyond the classic e-commerce system. Experiential navigation based on emotions and personal goals, intelligent recommendation system that considers personality and dreams, immersive storytelling for each destination.

The multi-environment architecture supports international teams working in parallel: parallel deployments without conflicts, zero downtime, global scalability from Milan to Sydney.

The results speak for themselves: * +40% dwell time, * +60% qualified conversions, * -50% support requests, * 100% satisfied teams from Imola to Brussels.

Today WEP is no longer a digital catalog. It's a space where young people discover possibilities, families find security, dreams take concrete form. Because in the end, the best code is the one that changes people's lives.

The WEP project required ISR (Incremental Static Regeneration) to manage a constantly evolving catalog with excellent performance, and an architecture capable of supporting simultaneous updates from globally distributed teams without conflicts.

Tech stack: TypeScript for code robustness, Next.js to implement ISR with optimized rendering, Redux for centralized application state management, Tailwind CSS for rapid and customizable interface development, DatoCMS as headless CMS for flexible and concurrent content management, Vercel for optimized deployment with native ISR and CI/CD support, ZOHO API for integration with internal CRM systems and workflow automation.

The combination ensured a performant, scalable, and easily maintainable platform that effectively supports the needs of a globally distributed organization.
