In short. The MIMIT Cloud and Cybersecurity Voucher covers up to 50% of a spending plan between 4,000 and 40,000 euros, with a maximum grant of 20,000 euros that does not have to be repaid. Pre-filling opens on 20 October at 12:00, applications open on 10 November at 12:00. The window runs first come, first served until the funds run out. Quinck is one of the listed suppliers for cybersecurity hardware and software.
What is the Cloud and Cybersecurity Voucher?
It is an incentive from the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), run with the support of Invitalia and Infratel Italia, for SMEs and self-employed professionals who buy cloud computing and cybersecurity services and products.
The solutions must be new compared with what you already use, or a substantial improvement on it. Renewing an existing licence is not enough.
Services must be bought from suppliers on the list kept by the Ministry. Quinck is one of them: you can see what we can supply on the dedicated page for the cybersecurity voucher with Quinck (in Italian).
How much is it worth?
- Spending plan from 4,000 to 40,000 euros.
- Grant of up to 50% on eligible costs, with no repayment.
- Maximum grant of 20,000 euros.
- De minimis regime, cumulable with other aid within the ceiling.
In practice, on a 10,000 euro plan you can get up to 5,000 euros, and on a 40,000 euro plan up to 20,000. It is not a tax credit: it is a grant you do not pay back.
Part of the funds, 71,065,813.34 euros, is reserved for plans carried out in Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily. What counts is the location of the local unit where the plan takes effect.
Who can apply?
SMEs operating in Italy and self-employed professionals with a VAT number, provided they have a connectivity contract of at least 30 Mbps download when they apply.
Formal requirements follow: a company active in the Business Register, no liquidation proceedings, insurance against natural disaster damage (where compulsory), no ground for exclusion. Professionals also need to be registered with their professional body, if the profession requires it. If you have a doubt on any of these points, it is best to settle it before 10 November.
What does it fund, and what can Quinck supply?
The call has five spending categories. Quinck is listed for the ones tied to security:
- Cybersecurity hardware: firewalls, next-generation firewalls, secure routers and switches, intrusion prevention systems.
- Cybersecurity software: antivirus and antimalware, network monitoring, data encryption, SIEM, vulnerability management.
- Professional services: configuration, monitoring and specialist technical support, allowed up to 30% of the plan and only if tied to a product or service in the previous categories.
We can also offer third-party products within these categories, not just our own solutions. Infrastructure cloud (IaaS and PaaS) and SaaS such as ERP, CRM, HRM and e-commerce fall outside our scope: if you need them, they must be bought from another listed supplier.
And if you are working on an AI project?
The voucher does not fund the development of the AI project, but it can cover the security it needs around it. If you are bringing artificial intelligence into your processes, or have an application already in production that you want to grow, sooner or later the question comes up: where does the data end up, and who can reach it?
Encryption, network monitoring, SIEM and firewalls answer exactly that question. With the AI Act already in force and ever more sensitive information passing between models and integrations, it is worth tackling it now, with up to half of the spend covered. It applies to existing projects and new ones.
Which mistakes make you lose the grant?
From our reading of the call, these are the most delicate points:
- The plan starts after the application. Costs must be incurred after submission, never before.
- Purchase or subscription, with no switching. The mode chosen in the application cannot be changed. Subscriptions last at least 24 months and only the fees for the first 24 are eligible.
- The improvement must be shown. The offer must describe where you start from and which upgrade you get. Generic descriptions risk rejection.
- CUP and service code on invoices. Without them, payment gets complicated.
- Withdrawal or change of supplier on a subscription. It ends the aid and you lose the remaining grant.
- The supplier must be on the list and named in the application.
What are the dates?
- 20 October 2026, 12:00: pre-filling of the application.
- 10 November 2026, 12:00: submission opens.
- 20 January 2027, 12:00: closing, unless funds run out first.
Three weeks pass between pre-filling and the window opening. Using them to have plan, offer and paperwork ready makes the difference, because applications are assessed in order of arrival.
How we work with you
If you want to know whether the call suits you, we start with a conversation: we tell you what is fundable in your case and, if applying makes no sense, you find out right away. If you decide to go ahead, we take care of both the call and the technical service, with an offer that carries our supplier code and the type codes the application requires. You can find the detail on the cybersecurity voucher page (in Italian).
Access to the grant is subject to MIMIT assessment and to the availability of funds.
