In Italy there are over 700,000 farms that sell direct. Most have no way of being found by someone who lives five kilometres away.
It isn't a demand problem. The demand is there: more and more people look for local products, want to know what they eat, want to buy close to home. The problem is that demand and supply don't meet. There's no place where a consumer can easily discover the farms in their area, their opening hours, what they have available today.
OrtiGo was born to bridge that gap.
What is OrtiGo?
OrtiGo is an app, available on iOS and Android, that directly connects farm producers and local consumers. Through a geolocated map, consumers can discover nearby farms, see opening hours and available products, and visit them or order in a few steps. Producers gain visibility without having to build a digital channel of their own from scratch.
It's short supply chain. Made findable.
Who's behind it
OrtiGo was founded by Elia Rufolo, an agronomy technician with first-hand experience alongside local farms, and Nosanin Abdollahian, who handles UX design and product strategy. Two complementary angles: someone who knows the problem from the inside, and someone who knows how to build digital tools that people actually use.
The project was born in our startup studio. It is incorporated as an S.r.l. (an Italian limited company): not a side project, not an experiment. A real company, with real founders, on a real problem.
Why we believe in it
The agritech market in Italy is still at an early stage. Existing tools are designed for large-scale retail or for those who already have a digital structure. Small farms, the ones that sell at the farm gate or at the market, are left out.
OrtiGo steps in exactly there. With a simple product, designed for people who have no time to learn a complex management system, and useful for those who want to buy local without having to search across four different channels.

An ecosystem, not just an app
The app is the first step. OrtiGo's goal is to build an ecosystem: more producers, more data on real availability, more tools for farms that want to grow in direct sales. The short supply chain works when it's visible. OrtiGo is working to make it so.
If you're an investor or a partner interested in agritech, in the local grocery market or in the digital transformation of rural Italy, OrtiGo is worth a conversation.
